God Creates Out Of Nothing!

“So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.”

Memory Verse: Haggai 2:9a “The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Have you ever looked around you and taken moments to imagine all the beautiful things God has created in the world? If you are very good at observing, then you will realise that everything just seems to evolve continually. Year on year, people work towards upgrading versions of the previous year, the need and hunger to advance has become a present continuous task. Don’t you just wish you were the brains behind some of those developments that have made the world a beautiful place?

God is an amazing God; He surely does create out of nothing. At times, God might have spoken to you directly making you promises or you might even be laying claims on His scriptural promises knowing that He honors His words. Those promises might look ambiguous but you believe He is able to create those things out of nothing, but when the fulfilment isn’t materializing over time, it is normal or let me say human to start wondering in the possibilities of the promises happening, you might find yourself in a position of doubting the word.

This doesn’t make you less of a Christian, it happens to the best of God’s children. The scriptures recorded Abraham had faith in God but when Sarah doubted and offered Hagar to Abraham as a baby making solution, Abraham’s rigid faith became compromised and though he still believed God for the promise made of the son Isaac, I can only but imagine he must have had moments of doubt too because of his present situation in relation to age, the time its taking for the promise to materialize, if it will materialize and the like of that. He gave in to sleeping with his wife’s maid Hagar, who bore his first son, Ismael. After all, the promise of Isaac was fulfilled.

The best of things are created from nothing. When God made the decision to create the earth, it was formed from nothing. Literally the bible tells us everything was formless Genesis 1:2, God  made it all perfect exactly how He wanted it, He formed it all up to the beautiful life features we see today. This makes life really encouraging for you and I, and even though you may not be close to where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be and others have a more daunting situation than you, but then, have you now lost hope?

A lot of those beautiful things you see made by man are a results of many trials and errors. Once you receive God’s promises, you’re only guaranteed success. If you hold unto it with faith and believe in God so much that you know if He promised to make it happen then without even knowing how, He will make it happen, He just will.

If you believe you don’t have anything right now, congratulations you are a right fit for the work and glory of God. The active ingredient is faith and even though everything around you may appear formless, be ready to be made into something by God.

Don’t be discouraged by how many times you have fallen, there is more hope for you to be built into something even greater than that which ever existed. A built house can only be redecorated or refurbished but an unoccupied land can accommodate a newer, modern and updated structure, something a lot better than a refurb.

The God that created the world as we know it today is still in the business of creating the best things out of nothing. If in doubt, read the life of Joseph, David, Samuel, Moses and you will know that the end is always better than the beginning if you stay connected to God.
