God’s Love Is Deeper!

Memory Verse: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Have you ever been in love? Whiles you’re pondering on it, have you thought about working all your life without spending any of the income then deciding to bring someone else into the picture to enjoy all that you have labored for? This is what Jesus done. Humanly speaking, one of the common prayers we say is being the one to eat and enjoy the fruits of our labor and no one should take our harvest. “Yes, I worked hard, so I deserve to enjoy everything I have worked for” without doubt, that makes us simply human. But in the case of the trinity, God worked hard for six days laying the foundations of the earth, creating all living and nonliving things, then just before he took a rest form His hard work, He created you and I. Even more interestingly, He gave us dominion over everything He has labored for. Basically He had us in mind when He was creating and creating and having done the hard work, he brought us in to enjoy the works. Isn’t that amazing?

The love of God towards we His children did not start when Jesus came to die for our salvation, we have been intentionally created for His Love. Our creation has always been love centered and that is evident in the way He created man “in his own Image” Genesis 1:26. God’s replicating Himself willingly is driven by love and even though man clearly did not deserve to continue to benefit from God after the disobedience, God still covered Adam and Eve’s shame of nakedness Himself, clothing them both before their exit from garden of Eden Genesis 3:21.

The life of a Christian is that which will go through phases and neither you or myself being genuine Christians are exempted from it. Sometimes it’s almost as if the whole world is up against you and literally you feel out of place because even those who don’t accept God’s existence seems like they are having a more balanced life than you. There is no weakness is feeling such way, but I encourage you to draw your strength from the word of God just like Apostle Paul did when things became overwhelming. I want you to believe without any doubt that as long as God remains God, then “nothing” is strong enough to separate you and I from the love that God has for us.

If God can send His only son to redeem us from our mistakes and separate us from the devil who is constantly against us looking to devour us, then the depth of God’s love for and towards man is unquestionable. Our memory verse today highlights a very strong angle of where an individual may separate themself from God thereby cutting themself short of the abundance of God’s love.

The word “IF” suggests that though God has chosen to love us, we may at times take his love for granted and deny our self the salvation, protection and love that comes from being at the center of God’s love. Apostle Paul tells us in Roman’s 8:31 that the love of God is so deep that His protection is guaranteed over His own Children. 

The loved of God is tried and tested therefore different from what any man is capable of giving. Everything in this world may threaten you but be rest assured that nothing is capable of disconnecting you from the everlasting love of God.

• Thank you for your expression of kindness towards me and for being my porter
• I am forever grateful to you Lord for remaining faithful to me in my unfaithfulness
• I will bless you Lord for the rest of my days for you are worthy of my praise
• I receive the grace to show love to others as you have commanded
• Forgive me all my sins O Lord and let your mercy prevail over judgement
• Thank you Lord for answers to prayers, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
