Occupying Your Territory!

“So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.”

Memory Verse: “And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it. Genesis 9:7.

Have you ever noticed some people seem to excel at almost everything they do? They just seem to thrive in every situation and everyone around examines their lives and think they are just fortunate; but is that really it? Can we call Abraham or Joseph fortunate or lucky as the world says?

Taking a good look at these biblical references, we may be able to understand the logic behind their fruitfulness and this is because they definitely had a fruitful life and biblical evidence proves this. Their lives may not have begun in a very interesting way, but they ended in the abundance of fruitfulness.

The bible clearly shows us that God pronounced fruitfulness on everything he created but there was a difference when he created Man “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth”, Genesis 1:28.

Everything God created will be fruitful but only man has the extra (Dominion). We therefore are called to occupy our territory. Living in Gods pronouncement is a 2 Stage journey.

First, we must be fruitful then we move to stage two where we have dominion. We cannot really have dominion if we are not fruitful in any way. We know that “The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7.

God’s intention is that we live and rule. He proclaimed it at creation and after the flood during Noah’s time.

The earth is evidently full of everything created by God and He has commanded us to reproduce, but are we just like the animals and fruits or do we Occupy and have dominion?

PRAYERS:

  • Father I thank you for your wonderful works and creating me to have dominion
  • Forgive my iniquities Lord and help me to live a fruitful and successful life
  • Father grant me the resources needed to occupy and have dominion

  • I declare live, success and goodness on all sides and in all areas of my life IJMN
  • Forgive me Lord of all my iniquities, bless me abundantly and make me a blessing unto others, in Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
