Knowledge Is Power!

 Matthew 13:10-13
“His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?” He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.”

Memory Verse: 2 Peter 1:2May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.”

Knowledge Is Power and being knowledgeable with the ability to rightfully apply it is surely an excellent attribute to have in life. I always admire people who showcase great knowledge in their area of expertise, and though Knowledge is a very useful tool to have, it in its best quality when presented with all elements of humility. It cannot be a point of show-off because it definitely can lead to pride and outrightly loose its value.

We acquire knowledge through various means but its quite shocking these knowledge we strive to acquire remains incomplete because most times, it is earthly driven, lacking that finite ingredient which comes from knowing God. So in essence, you could be the most knowledgeable person in the whole world and know nothing about God, the giver of knowledge.

Most people confuse religiously spending a lot of time reading the bible and trying to reason it out with having a good knowledge about God, but for a fact, that activity only involves accumulating information about God from the content of the bible. Yes, you will know the scriptures and become knowledgeable, breaking it down with human reasoning, but that remains a surface knowledge as the in-depth knowledge which is most valuable is derived from a close knit with God Himself. I find out that many Christians are caught up in this web.

Jesus spoke to religious leaders often and knew they were knowledgeable and constantly searching the scriptures but they had no knowledge of God and the word of God was not in them through the Holy spirit, they also didn’t have the love of God in them therefore their knowledge lacked value, John 5:37-42.

Your knowledge is always going to be limited if not in close sync with God and many Christians don’t understand this because they are mentored to grow in Christ through earthly knowledge. They keep acquiring vague information about God, an act which ultimately leads to frustration because they have no real knowledge of God can be acquired if not from an experiential perspective. Naturally the things of the spirit cannot be understood by mare men, you need to have a spiritual sync to obtain such understanding, I Corinthians 2:14. So it’s possible to stay a confused Christian for a very long time and likely for the rest of the time on earth if no divine encounter is experienced.

Mere church activities cannot give you the knowledge of God. Your walk with God and your work for God differs and you remain limited to the knowledge of the preacher if all you do is listen to sermon on Sundays. In more light, Christians are continually defeated due to the lack of Godly knowledge, Hosea 4:6.

Yes you are truly limited until God gives you His exclusive gift, the revelation of knowledge. Only The spirit of God is able to breath His knowledge into you. Everything you need to know about the knowledge of God can only come through Him. Hence it is vital to focus on your desire for Him and be rest assured He will reveal Himself to you.

You can be led to Christ but cannot be taught to know God. He is the only one who can personally reveal Himself to you, II Peter 1:3. Get to know God so he fills you with love for others and bestow upon you the valuable knowledge needed to live an exceptional life.

Prayers:

• Father I bless your name for another glorious day ahead

• Order my steps O Lord and teach me your ways, help me to maintain a close knit with you

• Bestow upon me great knowledge and reveal great and mighty things to me which I know not of.

• Help me to constantly walk with you in the light of your word, shed your glory in my ways.

• Forgive me O Lord and help me to live above sin

• Thank you Lord, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Have a productive day and stay blessed.
