If you reject even the least important command in the Law and teach others to do the same, you will be the least important person in the kingdom of heaven. But if you obey and teach others its commands, you will have an important place in the kingdom.
Memory Verse: Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it. Luke 11:28.
I have heard few people say if you want to be great in life you have to cut corners. That is intentionally doing things contrary to God’s word and in turn appearing to the word as capable. This means giving people false information and leading them to look in a direction that further pulls them away from God and His plan. To those people, the corner cutters are the definition of greatness because they are blinded and have no understanding. They are only focused on what this world has to offer but by heaven’s standard, these people that the world sees as great will be the least important person in the kingdom of Heaven.
For many years, I struggled with my Christian life and a lot of that struggle came from trying to be the best in the sight of men. My progress towards greatness was being assessed by human and without the understanding that every human is important to God. I valued myself based on what others thought. I went through a roller coaster of not understanding the word of God but also allowing myself to be swept away by enticing words. So, if I heard someone judge others, I will usually get involved because by human standard the person being judged deserved it. All this was not until I read the bible verse where Jesus said in Matthew 7:1 Don’t condemn others, and God won’t condemn you. Until then, I saw myself as a great Christian even though I religiously ignored the word of God by religiously following men blindly.
The story of the rich man and Lazarus opens our eyes to the definition of true greatness. By the standard of men, the rich man was great because he dressed in purple and fine linen, but Lazarus was not important until they both died and were positioned according to how they truly great they were. The way we see it, Lazarus was the great man because after his death, the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. Luke 16-19-31.
Like me, you may be confused not only blindly following men but getting mixed up with everything the world places before you. We play holy but neglect the word of God but even worse is that we mentor others to follow our path. We, just like the Pharisees use our activities to derail others and continue to see ourselves as great but the bible tells us that those who are important to God are those who obey and teach others God’s commands.

- Father, I thank You for another wonderful week.
- Thank you for fighting my battles for me and for your unlimited love.
- Forgive me of all my iniquities Lord, clothe me with an attitude of illumination.
- Help me Lord to be hardworking and not a lazy Christians.
- Help me to live a life of divine greatness and not judge men unjustly
- Help me to live a life of faith and peace and to preach the word of God through my words and action.
- I decree that I am a light to the world through the word and I will not be associated with darkness.
- Let all my praise and worship be acceptable before You.
- Thank You for answering and receiving me Lord, IJMN I Pray, Amen
