Bible Text: Matthew 14:35-36   “When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.”

Memory Verse: Job 1:8 NLT “Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.”

Many have the burning desire to make a change in their generation, yet all those hopes and aspirations remain a desire and not come to fruition because they don’t know how to go about implementing that change they desire to achieve. Instead of taking action, what we see is people waiting for an opportunity which they think they must physically see surface around them, failing to realise that the opportunities they have surrounding them is limitless. There is always one opportunity closer to you when you desire to make a change.

The difference between those who actually achieve and those who don’t is the movement. When an individual desire to move from A – Z, while someone might think they need to see the clear path between A and Z before they take a step, others will begin with the slightest opportunity, believing that they’ll eventually get to point Z no matter how long it takes. While there is no right or wrong approach as its logical to have clarity before leaping, the main danger is that without taking the first step, one may continue to procrastinate and never make a real impact. Remember, every journey in life commences with a step and that includes journey to a change!

You don’t need to have a title to make a change in your generation and the bible lays good emphasis on this. More often, God specialises in using the unqualified for great works to qualify them. Abraham was just Abram, Rehab was just a prostitute, Samuel and David were just boys, even more unrecognised is the woman with the alabaster jar who was just addressed in the bible as “a woman” yet her deed is historically remembered each and every time the word of God is preached just as Jesus said Matthew 26:7,13.

When the people saw Peter and John approach, they were known to have been with Christ, Acts 4:13 and without doubt, even evil spirits recognised Paul and Jesus in their absence, Acts 19:15. As a Christian, you are to be known for something, most importantly as a child of God who obeys the Father’s commandments. The population of people today who cannot vividly say what they are known for is alarming, yet we see in today’s bible verse that as soon as Jesus was passing by, people already knew they would get healed that day. Out of the many things Christ was known for, He was also known as the healer. The most amazing thing is they knew He didn’t have to lay hands on them or even speak hence they only begged to touch the hem of His garment and all who did were healed.

We know God as a creator, Jesus our savior and even the devil is known to be disguised angel of light but what are you known for?

Have you discovered yourself or are you still in the process? Interestingly once your identity is clarified, God knows and even the devil knows what and who you stand for.

No other title beats the title of being called a child of God, so therefore you have been given the authority to do exploits once you are of God. Go out there taking that step or leap of faith, get to be known for that which the Lord has destined you for. Don’t relent until you are known for something. Remember He promised you in Matthew 28, He will be with you till the end of time.

PRAYERS:

• Father I thank You for your endless blessings and love towards me
• Help me O Lord from today to stand for you and be known for you. Help me to make that move needed to change myself, my community and my generations to come.
• Help me to fully acknowledge You for direction, live above fear of uncertainties and grant me the boldness to see beyond all impossibilities
• Forgive my iniquities Lord and let your mercy prevail over judgement
• Thank you Father and in Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
