The enemy wouldn’t just let you go!

The enemy wouldn’t just let you go!

Bible Text: Exodus 3:19  “But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless [he is forced] by a strong hand.” Read Exodus 3:1-22.

Memory Verse:  II Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,”

Have you ever thought about how easy it is to subconsciously or unconsciously invest time and energy into doing something wrong? The passion behind carrying out the wrong deeds is backed up by the desire to achieve an aim which is usually often negative. Don’t be surprised that sometimes the act might not be evident to the individual due to their state of heart. You could vividly say such individual(s) becomes lost to the point wrong deeds feels good or like a norm.

The beginning of Job’s story starts by telling us the active role of the devil. First we see that whenever God and His people gathered together for anything at all, the devil tags along. The devil goes to or deploys agents to every gathering of Christians, with the hope of obtaining information to execute his mission. The aim behind the information gathering is to analyse and utilise them in tempting God’s children, Job 1:6.

The devil is the father all lies, destruction, temptation and so many more, he is very persistent and will go all out to satisfy his aim. He is no quitter hence we children of God must do all never to give up. The devil has his demons all over the world trying to deliver messages. While God uses angel for our benefits, the devil uses demons to cause destruction and confusion round the world. They are very active and constantly looking for people to destroy, 1 Peter 5:8.

If our number one enemy is the devil and he is restless then it’s understandable to see why evil people never give up. The children of Israel had been enslaved just like many Christians today. Even though the Israelites are God’s own people, King Pharaoh held them from progressing into their place of purpose and they continued serving as slaves until God’s hand forced them out of slavery into fulfilment.

The enemy is constantly fighting God’s children because he knows God has a great plan for them, a promising future and a hope. As the enemy is usually a step ahead with information, the enemy starts to fight your glory even before you know of it, hence why you are to stay connected to God who is capable of fighting you corner and wining your case with the devil.

The bible reveals in Mathew 2:1-12 that once Jesus was born, His glory had been seen and the king was distributed. He started plotting ways to kill the baby who had not yet even started His life or manifesting in His glory.

Don’t be deceived, the enemy is constantly restless and if you are serious about your purpose in life then you should be positioned in a place of connection to God.

PRAYERS:

  • Father I thank You for your protection over me
  • I hide in your secret place O Lord. Protect me continually from the vices of the enemy
  • Help me to fully understand the strategies of the devil and empower me to control what I say
  • Forgive my iniquities Lord and let your mercy prevail over judgement
  • Thank you Father and in Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
