Will You Just trust God?

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”

Memory Verse: Romans 5:8 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

As amazing as life can be, it comes with its own downtimes. While we enjoy the goodness, unpleasant things likewise crop up and they come so strong they gradually impact the level of trust an individual has in people around them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t just stop there, the struggles get unbearable at times and the distrust gradually migrates towards God.

Sadly, the more those things happen, the less likely it becomes to even trust the new people they meet in their everyday life. Such leads to building a life of insecurity but the most common mistake we often make is treating God like man

While man has been created by God in his likeness Genesis 1:26, we see from the very beginning that even God saw the heart of man and was heartbroken due to the level of wickedness Genesis 6:6 it exhibited and therefore the word of God tells us specifically never to put our trust in man Psalm 146 :3 because no man can save or rescue but one thing remains to be remembered, God is not like any man.

The love of God towards every human He created is unconditional. He sent Jesus to free us from the bondage and guilt of sin, Romans 5:8 and has since given us the Holyspirit as our permanent advocate, helper and guide John 14:15-16

If you have spent time dwelling on God’s word, you will find out that there is never one instance in which God has failed. Unlike man God does not lie; He is powerful enough to do everything He promises even if He has to do the unexplainable for His own children. It is just too impossible for God to fail. Even if it’s something He hasn’t done before which is unlikely, He has what it takes to do it afresh.

Unless you build a relationship with God and get to understand how He deals with you, the devil will continue to play mind tricks on you like He did with Job. But because Job had a relationship with God even before he was tested by the devil, it was easy for Him to trust God completely irrespective of what the devil threw at him, Job 1:1-4,22

Job was neither a prophet nor a Priest and yet as an ordinary man, he was called a man of complete integrity who trusted God completely. The barrier to not trust God is not because He has failed you but because you still have not realised that He is God. What happens is we pray to God and put our trust in man.

You can build a life that completely trusts God by walking with Him and begin to grow your personal relationship with Him. God is the only one you can fully trust knowing that if He still wakes you up every morning then it’s because He still has a good plan for your life Jeremiah 29:11.

God is too consistent to fail, He is always on your side and no matter what the situation may be in life you can trust God without any doubt.
