“Build a large boat from cypress wood and waterproof it with tar, inside and out. Then construct decks and stalls throughout its interior. Make the boat 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. Leave an 18-inch opening below the roof all the way around the boat. Put the door on the side, and build three decks inside the boat lower, middle, and upper.

If you have ever visited and conversed with a pharmacist or Doctor, you will find out most times they seem to be speaking in a different language, more of a medical jargon when they are updating you with prognosis and about prescription medication. Having spent a few of my student life working as a part-time health care assistant alongside a pharmacist, I realised they call medications by their active ingredients hence all the jargon of mixed chemicals. These ingredients for the medicine itself, the names we generally call it is mostly the brand name but most importantly using the medicine as prescribed is what makes it work as it should.
Christianity is quickly becoming a brand name. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:5 that many will come in His name and many will be deceived and if you just take a step back and review the world around you today, you will realise there are now different brands of Christianity. It’s no news that Jesus is the active ingredient of Christianity hence we see that the devil has disguised himself using men to actively deceive the heart of many. The Egyptian magicians replicated most of the miracles performed by Moses and if you don’t read further down, you might be confused not being able to differentiate between miracles and magic.
Your ability to stand out as a child of God and a Christian is not dependent on just knowing the active ingredients but knowing how to use them and likewise as instructed. Soon after the Lord decided to destroy the entire human race due to their continued wickedness, He spared the life of the only righteous man and gave him an instruction. Build a boat, God gave him clear guidelines and Noah did exactly as God instructed Him.
Noah’s following God’s instruction is the reason why you and I are alive today. After the flood covered the earth and destroyed all that was in it, the only people saved were Noah’s family with the animals who repopulated the earth again.
Without God’s direction, you May find out your life will keep looping at the wondering stage. Your life will seem to have no destination or may even have one but you just may never know how to get there. Your ability to be successful is by listening to God’s instruction and following it to the letter and only then are you guaranteed good success. Joshua 1:8.
Noah’s generation reproduced the entire human race, you also can do something that impacts the human race but God’s instruction is key. Genesis 8:15-17.
God’s instruction may not make sense to the rest of the world but your focus is not what human thinks, you are walking with God and so your focus should be on God’s instructions because best believe if He gives you an instruction, it’s because he has a bigger plan.
You have the active ingredient, have you received Gods instruction on what to do and how to use it? I encourage you seriously not to make the journey of your life like that of the Israelites who spent 40 years on a journey that should have taken only 11days. Get focused and involve God in every aspect of your life so you can get His instruction.

- Thank you Lord for your blessings, directions and instructions
- Help me from today to live for you Lord and listen when you speak and instruct
- Draw me nearer to you Lord and let your instructions be my greatest treasure
- As you are the vine, let me continually remain a flourished branch in you
- Remember not my iniquities Lord, have mercy and wash me clean
