Do You Know What The Enemy Knows?

I know the Lord has given you this land,” she told them. “We are all afraid of you. Everyone in the land is living in terror. For we have heard how the Lord made a dry path for you through the Red Sea when you left Egypt. And we know what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan River, whose people you completely destroyed. No wonder our hearts have melted in fear! No one has the courage to fight after hearing such things. For the Lord your God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below.

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 11:18, Then the Lord told me about the plots my enemies were making against me.

I believe knowledge is without doubt a power tool, and nothing is as important as having a good depth of information at your disposal. The more qualitative the information you hold is, the more enriched your knowledge and understanding bank becomes. Researchers in all areas of life holds a common purpose of aspiring to acquire more knowledge daily. They find and manipulate data, plan and set up experiments, investigate and cleanse information based on those initial data gathered, and finally analyse and document their findings. Most theories are based on research that have been tested and vetted and without knowledge, there will be nothing tangible to test in other to establish a fact.

Today we focus on the life of a vulnerable Christian. The dictionary defines someone who is vulnerable as anyone who can be easily hurt, influenced or attacked and interestingly a Christian is the first target of the devil. From the moment you declare yourself as a child of God, I learnt at the School of Disciples that you have clearly drawn a battle line between yourself and the devil. Therefore, a battle is set between two kingdoms and you need to be prepared with your weapons of warfare.

Being called a Christian does not automatically give you unending victory. The devil is absolutely restless, he is present-continuously roaming all surfaces and corners, he’s on an unending mission seeking whom to devour 1 Peter 5:8. During the devil’s roaming, he is researching and gathering information either himself or through his demons. He is fact finding and when he finally discovers your weakness, he mounts pressure on your weak point until he gains control. All the devil need is an access to capitalise on. He probably has the fastest information chain in the world hence as Christians we need to be careful with the information we give or voice out.

At times as Christians, we are ignorant of the vices of the devil and this is usually the first point of a likely downfall because the enemy knows more than a Christian does. At times, Christians go about life blindly with an assumption that it’s all beautiful but in fact it’s not. You must be a step or two ahead to win the victory. The bible had several instances of Jesus knowing the mind of people who came to cause Him either to say the wrong thing or attempted to make Him fall. This was evident when He was tempted by the devil, Jesus was information rich, He knew the devil’s vices and strategy, he knew what Satan was all about.

Today’s bible text tells us of Rahab who was obviously living in a place the Lord had promised to give to His children and Rahab confirmed to the spies how the people already knew God’s plan for the Israelites and she took advantage of that information and arranged with the Israelites, an arrangement which protected her whole family from destruction Joshua 2:17-21.

Don’t be deceived, the enemies operate on information and the closer you are to God, the more He reveals their plans ahead giving you a chance to be one step ahead. God has never lead His people blindly, He promised to guide our every step Isaiah 30:21, so if the enemy is planning an attack on the right, you will know to go change strategy and direction.

Who has the latest updates? you or the enemy? God is always speaking, are you always listening? Read Jeremiah 11:18-23.

Know your God, know your enemy, know your weapons of warfare.
