Let God work with His time!

“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”

Memory Verse: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11

Most of us these days seem to be rushing somewhere or back. Practically we rush so much that we miss out on important details as we are continually trying to meet deadlines set by either ourselves or one set by the society surrounding us. One look at social media and we think our individual life is the worst of all because we see everyone posting some sort of celebration and achievement and we have nothing to boast of. For a fact, this not only affects our level of confidence and esteem but can sometimes impact our relationship with God because we simply think God is too slow to respond to our outcry and we are lacking behind.

Our attitude needs to change when it comes to the word of God. We cannot just be looking into the word of God as our source of comfort when everything looks confusing, we should learn to dwell on it at all times when the going is good, bad or ugly. When we dwell on the word long enough, we start to realise that had the bible been dated, then it will become clear that most of the successes that were celebrated by the people referenced in the bible were not like magic.

Abraham was 75 years when he departed from his father’s land when the lord promised him a descendant who will inherit the land, Genesis 12:1-9 but Isaac was not born until Abraham was 100 years old according to Genesis 21:1-7. The Israelites had been slave in Egypt long before Moses was born yet Moses was 80 years old when the Lord sent Him on the mission to deliver the Israelites from slavery Exodus 7:7. David was first anointed by prophet Samuel when he was a teenager according to 1Samuel 16:13 but he did not physically take over Israel until he was 30 years of age, 2Samuel 5:4.

Today’s bible verse is also a clear picture of how Gods operates as we see the wind blowing all night to do the separation. The Red sea didn’t suddenly become separate immediately, had the children of Israel rushed into the sea whiles the separation was going on, they simply would have perished into the Red Sea.

God makes everything beautiful in His time and we have to learn not to run Ahead of God.

He knows just what to do at every point in time in our lives and He knows when exactly to do it so even if when it’s feels like the whole world is ahead of us, we know that as long as we are on the Lord’s side, we have nothing to worry about. He makes everything beautiful in His time.
