Letting Life Happen!

Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.

Memory Verse: People may plan all kinds of things, but the Lord’s will is going to be done. Proverbs 19:21

Did you participate in the Annual Proverbs Challenge for the year 2021? Congratulations if you did as you have definitely become filled with more wisdom and should now be living a more conscious life knowing that your actions and attitude shapes the direction your life may be headed towards.

But with reading comes questions and if you are anything like me, planning began long before the year ended and as a result the switch into a new year means a switch into work mode for completion of tasks that yields results! Ideally, I should personally ask myself; what does that mean for me as a child of God?

The bible tells us in Job 22:28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. As the 1st of January marks the start of a New Year, apart from some countries like the China who have their new year in February; the heavens are in agreement because majority of people round the world have tied their fate to this but for the children of Israel, God created for them a new year’s day (This did not align with the new year’s day in Egypt). Every other instruction that led to their breakthrough from slavery began to happen as their new year started.

Irrespective of when, the new year is a time for a reset! Many have celebrated but where do we go from here? Do we make plans for the year or just let life happen?

Nothing in life is by accident as we see from story of creation, God created everything that man needed to survive then He created man to occupy and benefit from everything He had created. Can you imagine if man had been created on Day 1 when the earth was formless, empty and in darkness? Read Genesis 1

Christianity didn’t just happen, Jesus gave a command and the disciples actioned it hence the result! Through this we know that success comes only when we are backed up by God.

The first step to a successful year is understanding that planning with God in isolation means failure. Letting life happen can even be a worse disaster. Presenting our desires to God and letting Him lead is the road that leads to success and peaceful living. This means though we desire a thing, if what we desire aligns with God’s Will, He will make it happen but if God desires that we have another which differs from our initial desire then we must be willing to let His will be done without feeling like we have failed. Matthew 6:10.

As we go about this year, the wisdom of God will flow from our hearts to our head to our hands as we write down our plans Amen.

Daily Declaration – This year, The Lord Almighty has prepared a banquet for me –  a banquet of the richest and the finest of everything the year has to offer. He has suddenly remove the cloud of sorrow that has been hanging over my life.  The Sovereign Lord has destroyed death forever! He has wiped away the tears from my eyes and taken away the disgrace /shame/lack/tears/pain /sicknesses i have suffered. The Lord himself has spoken – Amen. Isaiah 25:6-8.
