As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God’s throne.
Memory Verse: My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. 4Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4.

“If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is” This statement is something a random person says often because most times, things that are more exciting than normal, overly pleasing, too loud and very unreasonable is likely to be illegitimate. The noise and brightness has a way of attracting people who are particular about getting things at all cost. First there is the invitation, then the attraction and finally the reward.
The invitation My child, when sinners tempt you, don’t give in. Suppose they say, “Come on; let’s find someone to kill! Let’s attack some innocent people for the fun of it! They may be alive and well when we find them, but they’ll be dead when we’re through with them! Proverbs 1:10-12
The attraction We’ll find all kinds of riches and fill our houses with loot! Come and join us, and we’ll all share what we steal. Proverbs 1:12
The reward but people like that are setting a trap for themselves, a trap in which they will die. Proverbs 1:18.
Achieving plans is hugely dependent of obedience and focus! We all have written down plans and have prayerfully done so and have even started everyday committing them back to God’s hands but how do we manage expectations with our plans? What happens when sometimes the plans we definitely had with God seem like it’s not materializing? Has God suddenly changed His mind concerning His plan? There comes the confusion that most likely leads to finding alternatives which plays God in our lives.
Sometimes, the disruptions that we experience even when we have planned with God is part of the plan. We don’t often see the full picture because God opens our eyes to see just what He wants us to see but He still holds the master plan and therefore when turbulence happens, God is still in it and may be using that as an means to develop our strength for the journey ahead. The life of Joseph is one of the most popular stories in the bible and we see that God was definitely in His plan but how did Joseph travel that journey? From his Father’s house to Slavery, to Prison and finally to the position of the Prime minister. Read Genesis 37-41.
In all of those trouble Joseph went through, God had not changed the plan but was taking Joseph on a journey to His destination. Remember what you have to achieve is plan but it may need to be broken down into various task all of which will come together to make the final plan. It is therefore good to understand that the process to achieve your plans may sometimes be rough but what we know as Christians is that; because God is in our plan, we can never fail! He can be totally trusted. Numbers 23:19.
The key to ultimately living a fulfilling life is not just planning with God but remaining focused on Him Hebrew 12:2. We are encouraged to ignore distractions and remain determined to run the race faithfully to completion. Jesus our saviour whom we all look unto had just one thing in mind, completing His assignment to free us from the bondage of Sin and whiles there were so many distractions and disgrace, He endured because He was focused on the plan called Salvation.
There will be distractions, there will be bad days, there will be times when it seems like all is not working but those are not time to jump at what looks like the alternative because the price to pay for such as referred to by the book of proverbs is always death (Spiritually/Physically.) Proverbs 1:18.
When we take an alternative sinful path just to achieve our given goal, we have removed God and are now working alone.
Obedience + Focus = Good Success!
