It’s a Matter Of Trust!

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?

Memory Verse: And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Matthew 25:15.

Do you trust ‘you’ to deliver? I know this may seem like a very odd question but sometimes I ask myself some very difficult questions to further step away from taking the glory for anything in life. This means when God does anything for me, I know He’s decided to take a risk because I know I don’t trust myself to deliver but not everything in life can follow that pattern, there are certain things we have to do by ourselves even though God has prepared the platform.

A few years ago, I was a single lady working and renting a private apartment. I cleaned everywhere at every opportunity. I would spend my days off cleaning the skirting, washing the doors, and some other general cleaning. One day, a friend visited and asked if I had bought the property off the owner and this question was due to the amount of time, I invested in cleaning the house. When my response was no, she said convincingly that I may be due for my own property.

Thinking about it, years later, if my friend had the opportunity to make me a homeowner, she would have easily released the keys because she already trusted that I would do all to ensure the house doesn’t fall to pieces. This principle applies to some things in life, even with God involved and we know this because When God created Adam and Eve. He invested trust in them when He positioned them right in the garden to live freely. Basically, they lived rent free, ate free meals, and even had no awareness of their nakedness, so in their eyes they were covered.

Adam and Eve lost everything when they sinned, and God could no longer trust them to be in the garden of Eden. Not only were they driven out, God positioned the cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life, Genesis 3:23-24.

That which you are asking God for, do you trust yourself  enough for God to trust you to honestly use it for His own Glory? If you cannot answer a definite Yes to that, then it may be time to begin to walk with God so as to build yourself spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually, financially and  materially.

Being Christian does not earn you unlimited  access to resources but being taught by the Lord means you will one day have access according to your level of development.

If you are spiritually developed and financially foolish, you may be able to interpret tongues and heal the sick, but you may never be financially free because you cannot be trusted with finance. It’s a matter of trust.

God owns it all and even as His children , He may not give you that which you cannot handle. Matthew 25:15.
