Leave Your Comfort Zone!

“Then they told him and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless, the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.” Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Memory Verse: “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Psalms 20:7.

Sometimes life can appear very difficult to understand. Most of the countries and leaders people believed in have failed terribly but those who reside in those failed countries have chosen to see past the failures because for them, they are in the safest place they could ever be or at least they try to tell themselves that.

The current position some people are situated is their stop-over to a destination which the Lord is ultimately taking them to and this was the story of the Israelites. They were on a journey and a lot was happening in the process but most importantly, they had all their daily meals sorted and there was no need for change of clothes because God was their chef & dry cleaner.

“And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similar drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 29:5-6.

Despite all of Gods provisions, one thing was sure, the Israelites were on a journey to take possession and they needed to leave their comfort zone and trust on the Lord completely on this journey to attain that which has been promised.

Have you stopped seeing the Lord’s face because you’re now trusting in the things he has provided to you or is the journey ahead so fearful because you see the major challenges ahead?

You will not completely manifest God’s glory in your comfort zone and until you face that Giant ahead, you cannot inhabit the Lord. What will your choice be?

As for me, I will trust the Lord completely knowing that if God is my director, He will only lead me to the right path. Will you do the same?
