A while ago I was having a conversation with a close friend and before I realised, she was already trying to talk me into her way of reasoning, an act which was totally human. Our conversation went this way:
My Friend: But you have to be practical
My Response: But I am being practical, I am standing on the word of God that never fails
My Friend: No you’re not being practical , this is real life and sometimes you have to understand how things work
My Response: The word of God is for real life and real people
My Friend: Ok let’s take the word of God out of this so you can see the clearer picture and take an alternative position
My Response : But the word of God is all I need to see things holistically .
My friend was being real, I was in a scary situation, but my situation was not going to determine how I dealt with things. My reaction will be based on how God leads me and not how the world thinks I should respond.
The world seems to have a natural way of dealing with things. It’s all based on human reasoning, driven by fear hence the urgent need to take God out of the situation for a minute, deal with it individually then, come back to Him. A natural, yet unspiritual process which undermines the supremacy of God over the present situation and likewise relegates God’s ability to provide the perfect solution, if we faithfully rely on Him.
“They are of the world. Therefore, they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1John 4:5-6.
After seeing how faithful God has been, I can testify that even when things are not happening physically for us in the human eye, God is still working on all things for my good, therefore all I need is His word. Romans 8:28.
What situations are you facing which seems unrealistic to wait on God for? Now is the time to seek His word and stand on His promise ALONE. A medicine will do no good until it has been used, God’s word is all you need without which you can never be complete.
Without God’s Word, you are in your own world!

- Father, Thank You for You are a Faithful FATHER
- Thank you, Father, for always getting involved in my affairs and turning my life around
- Forgive my iniquities Lord, help me to live my life for you
- Help me Lord to totally depend on you and trust in you in every situation facing and fazing me.
- Help me Lord to serve you diligently and also serve others as you have called me to
- Help me Lord to be diligent in my works and stand before kings and not mare men
- Thank You Lord for answers to my prayers, IJMN I pray, Amen
