The Proof Is The Work!

The people surrounded him and asked, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus replied, “I have already told you, and you don’t believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father’s name.

Many times in life we plan one event or another and the most important thing we as human look out for is to use vendors that guarantees quality production. For that reason, we go out looking for vendors who either have been reviewed by others or who we have seen or tested their handwork. This can generally make it extremely difficult out there because upcoming vendors may have to struggle for years before being accepted onto the list of verified vendors. This is not due to their inability to deliver but simply because the world at large have no prove of their work and there are only two options in such scenarios, its either we see people who quit on that business or persevere until they get a breakthrough.

Jesus was facing the same situation. He is the one prophet Isaiah has spoken about, Isaiah 9:6. John the Baptist was born ahead of Jesus to prepare the way for His coming, Luke 1:8-17 but  still when He came, the world had no clue about Him. It becomes even more interesting that the more He revealed Himself to the world, the more they asked for. The people simply could not recognise Him even when He was with them so they kept on searching for vendors even though they already had the only verified Vendor.

Jesus didn’t just come to the world to dominate people’s lives even though He had every authority in heaven and on earth, He was humbly born in a manger, went through being a carpenter’s son and lived a completely humble life. When Christ’s ministry began, we see that He immediately started to work. The people will simply not believe until they see signs so Jesus was not only teaching the people but He was also working like every other vendor(gods). The world already had various vendors(gods) they are worshipping and ruling their lives and unless we Christians are ready to put in the work, then we are simply not ready to advance the kingdom of God.

The bible in James 2:14-26 tells us that faith in God is simply not enough. Even demons believe in God and everyone in the bible who ever took their stand and position for God were not just verified by their faith and so Jesus said to the people who were seeking prove because their heart could not absorb the truth He had already told them so He said to them “The proof is the work I do in my Father’s name.”

As a child of God, what do you do in the father’s name to proof you are keen about your father’s business. The world has become even more competitive that it was when Jesus was on earth and more and more distractions are consuming the heart of many so there’s never a better time to understand that faith alone is not enough. You simply can’t just preach the gospel of Christ and leave people to figure it out. If Jesus did not approach them with this method then be rest assured that the master already knew how we as human being think. The devil and his agent put in so much work and it’s easy to see that they go any length to convince people that they are verified even thou they are not verified.

You are a verified vendor through Jesus and the Holyspirit who lives in you is not mute. He wants you to work and unless you begin to work now, you may have no proof that you are verified. The world was looking for proof then, they still are so let your faith and work show that you are a verified vendor.
