Judging Others Is Not Your Place!

Some of you accuse others of doing wrong. But there is no excuse for what you do. When you judge others, you condemn yourselves, because you are guilty of doing the very same things. We know that God is right to judge everyone who behaves in this way. Do you really think God won’t punish you, when you behave exactly like the people you accuse? You surely don’t think much of God’s wonderful goodness or of his patience and willingness to put up with you. Don’t you know that the reason God is good to you is because he wants you to turn to him?

Memory Verse: We are unfit to worship you; each of our good deeds  is merely a filthy rag. Isaiah 64:6.

Don’t condemn others, and God won’t condemn you. God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them- Matthew chapter 7 verse 1-2. Who would have thought that even with the level of clarity of verses in the bible, it could still be very difficult to mind out businesses?

Many things happen to people in life, and we are very quick to judges as usually we think we are perfect or better than those individuals. Sometimes, we don’t only judge from a distance, but we outwardly display behaviour that condemns another individual thereby claiming to be self-rigorousness and the bible does not only condemn these behaviours but also starts out consequences for such a behaviour.

We are not God and cannot take the place of God who is the only Judge. When we judge an individual, we Lord over that individual and expose ourselves to condemnation. The bible tells us Christians to correct in love and there is a big difference between correcting an individual in love and judging them.

When we correct in love, we bring others even more closer to Christ but when we condemn them, we cause them to sin and Jesus said in Mark 9:42  It will be terrible for people who cause even one of my little followers to sin. Those people would be better off thrown into the ocean with a heavy stone tied around their necks.

It’s important to know the difference between correction and condemning – Let us continue to conduct ourselves in ways that bring others closer to God thereby bringing Glory to the father.
