I tell you today I am no longer responsible for any of you! I have told you everything God wants you to know. Look after yourselves and everyone the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be like shepherds to God’s church. It is the flock he bought with the blood of his own Son.
Memory Verse: I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord! Romans 8:38-39.
What does it mean to own something? In today’s world there are lots and lots of options for being called the owner of an item. You could rent an item and have right of ownership for the duration for which you rented it for or lease it and have a right of ownership for the duration of lease but when you buy outrightly, and have every item documented in your name, you have full ownership and right to that item. However, even in that scenario, you are subject to the laws of the land.
The life of a Christian is very straight forward because we are no longer confused about our position with God, but it can appear very complicated because the devil tries to confuse and convince us, making us feel different to what God has promised us. The devil knew who Jesus was, yet he showed Jesus all the kingdoms on earth and their power. The devil had good understanding and clear visibility of everything but not ownership as the bible clearly tells us in Psalm 24:1 The earth and everything on it, including its people, belong to the Lord. The world and its people belong to him.
This gives us all the assurance that we are not only created by God, but we also belong to Him. There is however the possibility of walking away from God thereby exposing ourselves to the deceit of the devil and that comes when we may be at our weak point like Jesus was when He had fasted, was hungry and was being tempted by the devil.
No matter what situation we find ourselves, the starting point is knowing who we are! We are those that have been bought with love by the blood of Jesus and no situation changes that unless we walk away.

- Father I am grateful for the gift of Salvation.
- Thank you for buying me with your love that is unmeasurable.
- Forgive me of all my iniquities Lord, clothe me with an attitude of illumination.
- Help me to live a life of faith and peace and to preach the word of God through my words and action.
- I decree that I am a light to the world through the word and I will not be associated with darkness.
- Let all my praise and worship be acceptable before You.
