Crafted To Be Fruitful!

For thus says the Lord,Who created the heavens,Who is God,Who formed the earth and made it,Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain,Who formed it to be inhabited:“I am the Lord, and there is no other.

Memory Verse: You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:15.

A few days ago I was studying the book of Genesis again and as I continued to meditate on it I realised God spent most of His time creating and blessing but most importantly, pronouncing fruitfulness on everything He created.

In the beginning God created everything before He created man, but he already pronounced fruitfulness on the earth in readiness for the arrival of man.  Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. Genesis 1:24. The earth was fruitful, and it was so according to the word of God.

The earth in itself was fruitful before man was placed in it and again God pronounced into the life of man after creation saying, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28.

So, the earth was declared fruitful, and man was given dominion over everything else that was fruitful so man now has authority over the fruitfulness of the earth. If we have so much authority on everything, why then does it feel like the things of the earth are controlling man instead of the other way round? It most times feel like we have lost the control and dominion God gave us.

The authority given to man is not manifested because we often don’t know what level of authority, we have so we nullify the potency of our authority with doubt. You remember when Peter doubted, he began to sink, all because he allowed his fear to rule over the authority of God.

God gave us authority but will not use our authority for us. We are king over the things created but a king cannot rule his subject with fear else his kingdom with not only be divided but also overtaken.

Don’t let fear or doubt stop you, The word of God is potent and powerful Hebrew 4:12 so step out in faith and with boldness and become fruitful in every area of your life.
