“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”
Memory Verse: Hebrews 13:9a “Do not let all kinds of strange teachings lead you from the right way.
Many a times, people find it more convenient to quickly attribute failure to God and others but take themselves completely out of the picture and attributes no responsibility to self. Painting a realistic picture, the first thing you hear when things don’t work out as expected is “Oh God” or “God Why?” At that moment everything that’s gone wrong seems to be God’s fault. The blame is fast shifted when statements like this person, this situation or this reason made me do it starts popping up. The sense of taking responsibility diminishes and the mind starts to scan for everyone who gave an opinion or two on the failed move, all in the move to convince self that everyone is to blame except the actioner.
Does that sound like you sometimes? Don’t beat yourself up, Adam & Eve played the same card in garden of Eden, Genesis 3:12-13. Eve blamed it on the serpent, Adam blamed it on Eve. The journey of denial has been embedded in our origin from the beginning of time, so there are no surprises that even amongst Christians, people generally prefer to hear what sounds close to the truth but not the plain truth itself.
The Word of God is not philosophical, it exhibits clarity, it’s factual and has a glaring difference between how we worship God and how we relate with men, John 4:24. When you start trying to reason God out using the principles of the world and not accord to the world of God, then you have started your journey to deception. This is the single reason why it becomes easier for false preachers to rob Christians of true salvation and blessings
God has created each individual with the knowledge of good and evil Genesis 3:22 but when you override the knowledge of good and decide to dwell on evil, you are cheating yourself. No false teacher is able to cheat and enslave you because the responsibility is on you to build a relationship with God and get to know Him, His principles, His ways of functionality for yourself.
If you know your God, it becomes impossible for anyone to feed you deception. When the Holyspirit is your true guide, your vision is cleared when deviation from God’s principles comes your path.
The life of a Christian is based on a personal relationship with God, supported by the people of God who loves and believes in God. You are not benefiting fully from the abundance readily available to his children if you keep allowing yourself to be fed with deceit.
There are no more barriers, Jesus took His last breath, died on the cross and took down the barriers. The veil of the temple has been completely torn which gives every human who believes in God the direct access to God through Jesus Christ, Mark 16:37-38
Yes, you have direct access. Your life can be complete in God so don’t settle for less else you are cheating yourself. Living a life contrary to the will of God is robbing yourself of the glory God has planned for you so the decision is yours. Will you live in direct obedience to the word of God or be carried away by the things of the world?
Don’t get carried away, your life is at its best and complete when you live in fellowship with God and obey His word else you remain incomplete. “and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Colossians 2:10.
