“So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. And he also stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “ Is Saul also among the prophets?”
The song “God is a miracle worker, God is a glorious God” consistently surface in my spirt every time I read the bible verses anchoring today’s message.
I can never get over the supremacy of our Lord who uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and choses the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 1Corinthians 1:27.
Truly God’s ways are untraceable. You just cannot feel too important or act irreplaceable in His sight. I mean with men you can “big yourself up” but definitely not before the most High God because He is not a friend to the proud.
The Story of Saul in today’s bible text is a typical example of who God can use. If you study 1Samuel chapter 19, you will see how Saul tried so hard to kill David but the Spirit of God seized Saul and used him to spare David’s life. So be enlightened that God is capable of using your enemies for your own good.
God can use you, yes He can because He calls and uses the imperfect. None of His disciples or biblically cited creatures were perfect, but yes God still used them for greater works.
So I encourage you to look away from your weaknesses and not worry about that individual who seem to tick all the boxes of human standard. Do not allow your weaknesses to cloud your judgement, focus on the Lord, His strength and wisdom is all you need.
If God can use Paul who killed a lot of people and specialized in persecuting and imprisoning Christians to write half of the verses in the new testament and preach the gospel to the Roman empire, then God can you no matter how much you think you have gone wrong.
A problem common to some Christians today arises from trying soo hard to prove self worth and value in order to fit into a position God has not ordained them to occupy, hence they begin to struggle in every area.
Your worth has nothing to do with your works because truthfully there is no one deserving but God’s mercy is what proves His love hence despite your faults, he can still use you for greater works.
Has the world tagged you a nobody? It is okay because God’s approval is all you need not men’s! You may even have nicknames of what people call you like the woman with the issue of blood, blind bartimaeus, Rahab the harlot and many more but the most important thing is that you are real with God.
God did not create anyone He does not love and regardless of who you are or what credentials you carry, God can choose to use you for His glory.
It’s all about Jesus and no clay can be too perfect for it’s porter!
