Unfailing And Unwavering Faith!

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.  But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

Memory Verse: The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. Proverb 24:16

The first conclusion that usually comes to mind when failure occurs is the fact that we are all human and as such we may slack from time to time, get worried, deviate or even fall, all of which are kind of normal right? But let’s look closely into the word of God, going back to the very beginning. Adam and Eve had the dream life in the garden of Eden until they fell from grace. Unfortunately, the devil took advantage of their weakness and positioned himself accurately to manipulate Eve’s thinking, a compromise which led eve to the journey of failure. She failed God at that point by utterly disobeying and taking onboard the devil’s advice.

King David was likewise positioned in the wrong place where he allowed the devil manipulate his thoughts. In his case it could be said that he failed himself at the point he saw nothing wrong in taking another man’s wife and killing the woman’s husband. Today we see the life of Simon, Satan had positioned himself in Simon’s life yet again for failure.

Yes, the devil’s mission is all about your failure, there is never a time when the devil is maybe looking out for you with positive intentions. Even when he presents himself as the light at the end of the tunnel when you need it most, it remains a gimmick, there is no truth in it so don’t be deceived.

The cycle usually starts with the devil notion to tempt you in the bid to make you fall. Once he gets the go ahead to do so, he literally does everything to prove you can tumble. The devil may approach tempting you in what may look like a nice way, usually with attractive things like he did with Jesus, David, Samson and Solomon or he may just hit you hard by making your life a living hell like in the case of job. All in the name of making you fall from grace just like in Eden.

We are to be aware of the vices of the devil. His gimmicks are updated and if not so careful being human we can fall over and over again. A factor that remains important is that if our faith is in God, God will never fail you and I. There may be seasons in our lives where we have totally lost track and the devil intends to keep us down by making capitalizing on that fall but what were you holding onto before your fall? God?

If you were holding onto your faith in Christ then be sure that like Simon, Jesus has prayed and is praying for you today. Your faith in God will never fail you. Rise up, get up and return to God. He is waiting for your return and because He is God, He will never fail you.

As a child of God, yes you may fall sever times, Peter did, Abraham did, David did but you can never fall flat never to rise again if you are hold on to God, the author and finisher of your faith.

Remember the righteous man will fall a number of times, but God says he will rise again!
