God Placed You There for A Reason!

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you”

Memory Verse: Ephesians 2 :10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Often we spend our time worrying about why we are not making much progress in various aspects of life but have we bothered to ask God why we are stuck where we are right now?

The life of a Christian is a very interesting one because we are adopted into a family that always has some work to be done just like Christ who is our heavenly father. Jesus spoke to His disciples saying “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” Matthew 9:37, and this depicts that every Christian is positioned at various places for a reason at a particular time. The issue underneath this is that we Christians are hasty to progress form our current position without fulfilling the assignment for which God has placed us in the present position we are.

God created us all with a good intention at heart and He has a more defined mission from the day we surrender our lives to Him. As we are now a part of God’s own family, we start to work under a new leadership and for a new boss. We now have more definition and are refined with the help of the Holyspirit and at such we are able to achieve that which we are created for.

Moses as we see was created and purposed to lead the Israelites out of Egypt into Cannan but until he yielded to the voice of God, he was literally just wandering and doing his own thing. Today we also read about Brother Titus being appointed by Paul for a special assignment and his main responsibility on that mission was to set things in order.

We may not all be positioned in very comfortable places but our location and current position is for a reason. We may not really progress unless we deliver in our current progression.

Are you keen or hasty to move forward and move on? A good starting point is to observe your current location and speak to God for understanding of why you are where you currently are. With the leadership of the Holyspirit and good understanding, you will be able to deliver your assignment and may even get promoted for greater exploit.

 PRAYERS:

  • Father I thank you for your grace and favor
  • Thank you for where you have positioned me and for exploits you are doing through me
  • Help me to fulfil purpose O Lord and not be hasty to move from the position in which you have placed me.
  • Forgive me of my shortcomings o Lord and help me to live above sin
  • Receive my sacrifice of praise for in Jesus mighty name I pray, AMEN.
