Don’t trade your wisdom for foolishness!

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Memory verse: “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” 1Corinthians 1:25

God never makes mistakes and neither has He made one in the past, read that again God makes no mistake. We often engage in conversations with various individuals and of those conversations, we may come across people who actively tries to reason God out. These people are not actively against God but they simply can’t make sense out of certain things in life and so they automatically involve Christians in lengthy conversations, half of which will begin to make us assume God may be absent and life just happens. For those people it doesn’t matter how much you speak the word of God, they simply can’t make sense of it.

There are two categories of individuals in life, those who have been chosen and those who haven’t. The difference is that those chosen by the Lord are given the ability to understand the message of the cross. We all at some point may have been in the latter category before we gave our life to Christ and Paul was also in this category.

Apostle Paul in his early life spent his time and energy not only being an Antichrist but he actively prosecuted Christians because he was a follower of the law and the message of Jesus just made no sense until God chose Him. The world knew Paul was an antichrist so they used him to punish Christians and together they attempted to destroy the word but Saul now Paul had an encounter on his way to Damascus and that became a massive turnaround and the commencement of his new journey. He now had the understanding and no more required trying to rationalize the ways of God. Acts 22:1-23.

Until an individual gives his or her life’s to Christ, such individual is simply living on a path that leads to eternal death. Physically living but spiritually dead and so nothing you as a Christian say will ever make sense because they will constantly try to use their human wisdom to reason it all out, forgetting that human knowledge is limited and the foolishness of God is wiser than men 1Corinthians 1:25.

We know we are wise and are not perishing because we have been saved by the blood of the lamb. The Holyspirit is doing a brilliant job of constantly reaching us and helping us to remember hence we don’t conform to the thing of the world. The bible warns us against conforming to the world. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2.

Anyone not in Christ is perishing and have no place in Gods kingdom even though they may be the wisest person on earth. God has chosen you so bear in mind you are saved, don’t trade your salvation to blend in with the world of people who are yet to come to the knowledge of Christ and Salvation on the Cross.

Meanwhile, keep spreading the word, continue as an ambassador of Christ, steadfast, unmovable not unshakeable by the winds of the world vehemently blowing to sweep you away from God’s presence.
