Lessons from Daniel Chapter 6 – Part 5 – You are enough for His glory

Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.  I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Memory Verse: For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.

Have you seen what’s happening around the world today? There seems to be economical turmoil everywhere. Everyone is complaining and everything seem to be going from bad to worse for most people. If you spent just a few minutes listening to the news in the past couple of days, you would see that there is no good news, and most people live in panic and anxiety attack at the moment. Inflation, tax rise, difficulty getting on the property ladder, unfavourable policies and more.  Are you scared of moving forward or making any major decision? Let’s see what Daniel did when he became the negative headline on the news.

After all the hassle of the enemies setting Daniel up for the king’s punishment, Daniel did what he knew how to do best, he left it all in the hands of God. He was put in the Lion’s den where he spent the night and when it was morning, He came out of that den with no scratch. Daniel 6:16-23.

What if the world is against you? what if the world is in recession? what if you don’t have what it takes? So, you may not be facing a physical Lion, but the situation may be equally as bad as facing one and the enemy thinks they have staged it all successfully. They have planned, actioned, and walked away leaving you to bear the difficult consequences of their actions. But I need you to know that if you remain consistent in God, then that situation will turn around only for the glory of God.

Let the enemy continue to dig a pit, be rest assured that according to the word of God in psalm 57:6. “They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They have dug a pit before me ;Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen.”

This is not mere talks, this is the word of God that we see manifesting the life of Daniel “And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den. Daniel 6:24.

Most importantly, because Daniel stayed connected to God, the king made a decree to everyone under His authority. Daniel was the reason the name of God was manifested. You could be the reason for the next big thing and because of that situation, the world will know God through you so instead of seeing how terrible things are.

Start seeing how the name of God will be glorified through your actions going forward from today!
