The Demon Called Stagnancy!

As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed.  And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marvelled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”

Memory Verse: Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth”, Genesis 1:28.

I think I became more spiritual about everything when I started to study the word of God more. Prior to that, I thought my mum was a bit extra because she spiritualized everything. Everything had to either be spiritual or nothing so mum will pray over, through and on every single situation. Mum, “it’s not that deep” I will usually say, until I became more familiar with the bible and particularly today’s verse.

This man brought to Jesus simply had speech delay, exactly what I will liken it to. It’s no big deal as this is quite common in today’s world and a lot of people have accepted their faith. This is the story of many individuals today because the world has defined their situation and normalized it, hence it has become acceptable. The devil has made every terrible thing seem normal and we as Christians are accepting it as a way of life. Yet, the question remains, “is this truly a way of life?”

The bible tells us according to James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. If it’s not good and perfect or if it has been altered in anyway then it’s no longer perfect and cannot be from God.

There is no time of life that any stagnancy is from God. There could be delays permitted by God for a reason, that for the Glory of God but if the delay is not from God, then without any doubt, you are being caged by the devil. The very moment that demon was casted out, the man began to speak.

Everything is indeed spiritual! God is spirit and those who worship Him do so in spirit and in truth, John 4:2, hence we know that our weapons of warfare is not physical. God only wants the best for His children, but the devil only wants the worse John10:10, so examine yourself and ask “Is this the best for me?” if the answer is no then it’s time to speak to the Father of all good things.

Your default setting is towards progression.
