Receiving From God!

We wish each of you would always be eager to show how strong and lasting your hope really is.  Then you would never be lazy. You would be following the example of those who had faith and were patient until God kept his promise to them. No one is greater than God. So he made a promise in his own name when he said to Abraham,  “I, the Lord, will bless you with many descendants!” Then after Abraham had been very patient, he was given what God had promised.

Memory Verse: God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed. Hebrew 6:18a.

Sometimes waiting can be really painful, even worse when we don’t have the understanding on why we ought to be kept waiting. Everyone wants to ask and receive in the order they expect things to work but sometimes, things take time and even more time, if what we require is high value.

Applying for credit in most of the western word has been enhanced continually to near perfect. A credit score system is put in place and depending on individual circumstances, it may be easy to get credit from various lenders up to a particular limit, but when the initial scoring is over, the system calculates what is acceptable, the application then goes through manual underwiring before a final decision can is made. During the underwriting decision, a process is followed, and some people could be asked to provide more information or be declined altogether due to various reasons.

What do you do when declined a credit application? do you go on and spoil your credit score the more by repeatedly trying or begin to look for ways to make it better for next time you apply in a six month’s window?

Some applications we make to God can be viewed as such. Sometimes we’ve just not achieved the required score to manage what we require from God. If we trust God enough, together with His word, then we must also know that the time of receiving from Him is always going to align with His purpose for our lives and not necessarily in time with our own request.

God promised Abraham and he remained in faith, while Abraham continued to build his credit, he remained very patient. Finally, he was given what God had promised him when the time was right; God’s Time!

Will you continue to build your credit whiles waiting, will you make your credit score even worse, or will you forget about the application altogether? The choice is yours to make!
